This book tells of an ancient Copper Trade between Lake Superior in the United States and a trading group from the Eastern Mediterranean. This trade took place over 4000 years ago and lasted for about 1200 years. It addresses the question who was really first to North America. Although the book is controversial 4000 copies have been sold and none have successfully challenged it. Readers can view photographs of the actual evidence. Evidence that is most often ignored by the established archaeologists.

Native cultures have a rich history in this early period. much of which has been covered up. Algonquian speaking people were the primary traders involved in this trade. The had a written syllabary to record their language. This syllabary is still used by the Cree people.

They were also involved in the megalithic structures we find scattered around the great lakes. It was also during this early period 4000 years ago that reverence for the sun was pronounced. The sun, moon and Venus were all part of their religious life. This history is wrong and needs to be corrected. This book is my effort to start this process.

This is quite a read whether you are a simply a resident, or an anthropologist. Having lived in Michigan all my life, no one I'm aware of has put forth what at first seems such an outlandish "theory." The author makes a strong case for refuting the dismissal of the Newberry Stone as simply a local hoax. I found the linguistic ties to the ancient past particularly revealing and amazing. I look forward to other researchers bringing forth their finds that will either further support or negate the author's work. It seems likely the former may be the case.

This book is an excellent piecing together of the archaeological evidence we have showing us that Minoan Traders were actively mining copper and creating cultures and villages in North America for a thousand years or more. As well as this book you can also read the Menzies book Lost Empire Of Atlantis. Both of these books are excellent companions each researching this topic extensively from a very interesting perspective. This author is a ranger and understands North American culture very well. The other author is a navigator and understand seafaring very well. Both of these books come to the very same conclusion and work with each other like fingers and a hand. The idea that minoan Traders were traveling around the Mediterranean northern Europe and in the New World in a big circle is just straight mind-blowing. I also read another book about the mound builders of ancient America which i suspect is the same group of people. It is amazing how much of History is just covered up or ignored by professional archaeologists who want to keep the same old story and get very upset at anybody who comes up with any way to change any aspect of it as evidence comes along! Read these books in your world will shift!
Good reading
I love this book! Lately, I have become obsessed with the ancient copper mining of the Great Lakes area, and there aren't a lot of books on the subject. This book presents Several theories as to who might have been responsible for removing the copper, and lays out the evidence in a very captivating way. I still find myself going back to the book and re-reading sections. Very entertaining and informative! I highly recommend this book!
